The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires that the Clinton Police Department provide its records to anyone who requests them in writing and who includes a reasonable description of the records being requested. Certain records may be exempt from disclosure under FOIA. To obtain a FOIA request form, download the form from the link below or visit the Records Division inside the Police Department, 305 Monroe Street. For more information, please call 601-924-5252.
Fill out the parade or assembly permit and submit to the Clinton Police Department at 305 Monroe Street or email to kelly292@clintonms.org.
Community Outreach and education programs for the Clinton Police Department include the Citizens’ Police Academy, Neighborhood Night Out, Community outreach and crime prevention seminars, and the Internet Transaction Safe Zone.
If you have been involved in a vehicular accident in the City of Clinton, you should have been given a card with the case number. To obtain the report, visit the DPS website and enter your case number. If you do not have the case number, you can still look up the report based on other information.
Police Reports may be obtained in person from the Clinton Police Department for $20.00 fee (cash only). In order to obtain a report you must have the case number or the following items/information:
– Valid picture ID
– Location of incident
– Time and date of incident
– Name of the person who made the report

House Watch is a police service that helps protect unoccupied homes while Clinton residents are away. Police will inspect homes periodically to help ensure their security.
* Requests to enroll in House Watch may only be made by the homeowner or current resident.
* There is a 2 week maximum for all House Watches. House Watches are for short-term periods of vacancy such as vacations.
* If your plans change and you will be returning sooner or later than the dates originally stated, please call the Clinton Police Department as soon as possible. There is no need to notify the Police Department if you are returning when scheduled.
