Full-Time Employee Benefits Include:
Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Employee premium is 100% paid for by the City of Clinton.
PERS Retirement: 9% employee contribution, 17.9% employer contribution. Vested after 8 years of service, retirement after 30 years of service with no penalties.
Life Insurance: Employee life insurance coverage (at no cost to the employee) is twice the salary of each full-time employee.
Holidays: 10 official holidays and other holidays as set forth by the Governor throughout the year.
Vacation Leave: Employees accrue leave monthly that can be used after the sixth month of continuous service.
Sick Leave: Employees accrue leave monthly that can be used after the third month of continuous service.

Grounds Technician
Parks & Recreation Department
Grounds Technician work involves operation of automotive equipment as well as lawn equipment. The Grounds tech is responsible for daily maintenance of all parks, grounds and facilities in the duties of litter control, landscaping, construction and field marking.
Property Maintenance and Events Tech.
Main Street Clinton
The Property Maintenance and Events Technician is responsible for operating automotive equipment, specialty lawn equipment, and basic maintenance of buildings, lighting and equipment. Assignments are received in the form of specific orders to accomplish a specific task. Work may be performed without direct supervision after instructions are received.

Pt Parks Maintenance Tech work involves operation of automotive equipment as well as lawn equipment. The Grounds tech is responsible for daily maintenance of all parks, grounds and facilities in the duties of litter control, landscaping, construction and field marking.
Tennis Coordinator
Parks & Recreation Department
Tennis Coordinator plans, initiates, organizes and supervises a diversified program of tennis services for both youth and adult. As well as supervises, trains and advises volunteers and other personnel for officials, scorers and leaders for tennis programs.
Firefighter
Clinton Fire Department
Firefighters are trained to respond to man-made and natural disasters to protect life, property and the environment. They perform duties such as firefighting, search and rescue, technical rescue, EMS, HazMat, etc. They are also responsible for reports, maintenance of Fire Department equipment and properties, inspections and physical fitness and more.
Dispatcher
Clinton Police Department
Dispatchers perform duties which involve receiving emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire and/or medical assistance and dispatching necessary units using a computer aided dispatch system. They also perform a variety of general support duties related to the operation of the communications center.
Crossing Guard
Clinton Police Department
Crossing Guards are responsible for directing traffic to and from the schools during morning and afternoon drop offs and pickups. All work is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions and requires the individual to be in good physical condition with good mobility.
Heavy Equipment Operator
Public Works Department
Heavy Equipment Operator work is skilled work in the operations of heavy duty automotive, construction, and street maintenance equipment. Work requires technical training and/or supervised on the job training. Operators are responsible for daily preventive maintenance of equipment.
Booking Officer
Clinton Police Department
Booking Officer is responsible for safely handling prisoners in a variety of circumstances including transporting them to and from different jurisdictions including medical institutions. The booking officer may also serve as bailiff for the Clinton Municipal Court.
Police Officer
Clinton Police Department
Police Officers are trained to protect people and properties by enforcing laws. Police Officers respond to calls for service, patrol areas, and conduct traffic stops. Officers are responsible for arresting people of committing crimes and serve warrants for arrests and searches. They are also responsible for writing reports and testifying in court.
Athletic Fields Forman

Athletic Fields Foreman directs and supervises the operation of the Athletic Fields. This position requires direct involvement with subordinates to accomplish assigned tasks. They are responsible for scheduling, purchasing, and supervising staff and part-time workforce.
