The City of Clinton has announced a Special Election scheduled for June 9, 2026, in which registered Clinton residents will vote on the renewal of the 2% Parks and Recreation Tax. The tax was first approved by voters in 2022 and is collected at local restaurants throughout the city, with every dollar dedicated exclusively to parks and recreation facilities and improvements.
The City of Clinton will host its annual Spring Citywide Cleanup from April 25 through May 2, 2026, providing residents with a free and convenient opportunity to dispose of yard waste, bulky items, and other household debris. The site will be closed on Sunday, April 26.
This new program gives Clinton students a behind-the-scenes look at how government works at the local, state, and federal levels while building leadership skills and connecting with elected officials and city staff.
