Full-Time Employee Benefits Include:

Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Employee premium is 100% paid for by the City of Clinton.
PERS Retirement: 9% employee contribution, 17.9% employer contribution. Vested after 8 years of service, retirement after 30 years of service with no penalties.
Life Insurance: Employee life insurance coverage (at no cost to the employee) is twice the salary of each full-time employee.
Holidays: 10 official holidays and other holidays as set forth by the Governor throughout the year.
Vacation Leave: Employees accrue leave monthly that can be used after the sixth month of continuous service.
Sick Leave: Employees accrue leave monthly that can be used after the third month of continuous service.

Parks & Recreation Department

Grounds Technician work involves operation of automotive equipment as well as lawn equipment. The Grounds tech is responsible for daily maintenance of all parks, grounds and facilities in the duties of litter control, landscaping, construction and field marking.

Police Officers are trained to protect people and properties by enforcing laws. Police Officers respond to calls for service, patrol areas, and conduct traffic stops. Officers are responsible for arresting people of committing crimes and serve warrants for arrests and searches. They are also responsible for writing reports and testifying in court.
