Pinehaven Drive Bridge Replacement to Begin April 21; Road Closed for Approximately 12 Months
The bridge on Pinehaven Drive crossing Bogue Chitto Creek is set to undergo a full replacement, prompting a long-term closure of the roadway beginning later this month.
Over the next couple of weeks, contractors will begin placing construction signage in preparation for the project. Pinehaven Drive is scheduled to close on Monday, April 21, and will remain closed for the duration of the bridge replacement.
The closure is expected to last approximately 12 months, as the existing bridge structure must be fully removed and replaced to ensure long-term safety and infrastructure stability.
Motorists should plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure. Detour signage will be posted to guide traffic around the affected area.
