Demolition Begins on Fourplex Concessions and Restroom Facility
The City of Clinton has begun demolition of the existing concessions and restroom facility at the Fourplex as part of ongoing Parks and Recreation improvements funded through the 2% Parks and Recreation Restaurant Tax.
For many families, athletes, coaches, and visitors, the Fourplex has been the backdrop for countless games, tournaments, and memories over the years. While the existing facility has served the community well, it has reached the point where replacement is the most effective way to meet the needs of today’s park users.
The demolition marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Fourplex and will make way for the construction of a modern concessions and restroom facility designed to better serve the thousands of residents and visitors who utilize Clinton’s athletic facilities each year.
The project is one of several improvements made possible through the 2% Parks and Recreation Restaurant Tax approved by Clinton voters in 2022. Revenue generated through the tax is dedicated exclusively to Parks and Recreation projects and cannot be used for other city purposes.
Since the passage of the 2% tax, the City has completed numerous improvements, including the Towne Park Pickleball Complex, the inclusive playground at Brighton Park, new restroom facilities at multiple parks, and other quality of life enhancements throughout the community.
As work continues at the Fourplex, the City looks forward to providing a facility that will better serve athletes, families, tournament visitors, and future generations of park users.

A Special Election to renew the 2% Parks and Recreation Restaurant Tax will be held on June 9, 2026.
