Brighton Park Playground Closed for Renovations Beginning November 18
The City of Clinton is excited to announce the upcoming installation of a new inclusive playground at Brighton Park, designed to welcome children of all ages and abilities. This significant upgrade, part of the city’s commitment to enhancing local parks, will create a safe and accessible play environment with modern features to enrich the experience for all visitors.
The new playground will feature poured-in-place rubber flooring, shade structures, and perimeter fencing, ensuring a safe and comfortable play area. These enhancements support the city’s goal of fostering inclusive, accessible, and safe recreational spaces for the community.
This project is funded in part by the 2% tax dedicated to park improvements, with a generous grant from Struthers Recreation covering over $90,000 for playground equipment. The project will be a collaborative effort between the Clinton Parks and Recreation and Public Works departments, which will begin the demolition of the existing playground on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Brighton Park’s playground area will be closed to the public during the renovation. The city appreciates the community’s patience as we work to bring this exciting new amenity to Brighton Park.
