City of Clinton Dedicates Pillar’s Park in Memory of Bonnie and Bill Barnett
The City of Clinton officially dedicated Pillar’s Park on Monday in memory of Bonnie and Bill Barnett, honoring a couple whose service, generosity, and love for the community have left a lasting impact on Clinton’s parks and public spaces.
Clinton Launches 2% Park Improvements at Kids Towne Park
In July 2022, Clinton residents approved a 2% increase in the restaurant tax to fund enhancements to city parks and community spaces. Since then, Parks and Recreation Director Courtney Nunn has gathered feedback from local organizations and residents to guide priority improvements. At a recent September Board Meeting, the Board of Aldermen accepted the top bid for phase one of these projects, funded by the tax revenue.
Lakeview Dr. and Post Rd. Traffic Signal Damaged
The traffic signal at Lakeview Drive and Post Road was damaged today during an accident. Please treat the intersection like a 4-way stop until the traffic light is replaced.
Kids Towne Park Bridge Vandalized
One of the newly repaired bridges in Kids Towne Park was recently vandalized, following last year’s efforts by our Parks and Recreation Department to improve safety and enhance play areas for all. The bridge, part of a series of upgrades aimed at making the park more accessible and enjoyable, was damaged due to the reckless actions of an individual or group.
Road Closure Beginning Wednesday, October 23 on Jefferson Street
