Firehouse Food Park: Clinton’s New Centralized Hub for Food Trucks
The City of Clinton is excited to announce the establishment of the Firehouse Food Park, providing a permanent and centralized location for food trucks in the community. Approved by the Board of Aldermen at their November 19 meeting, the Food Park will be located at 915 Old Vicksburg Road, next to Fire Station 2, adjacent to Kids Towne Park.
For Food Truck Operators
Lease Options:
Monthly Lease: $300 per month with the requirement to operate Tuesday through Saturday (optional Sunday and Monday hours).
Daily Option: $25 per day.
Operating Hours: Food trucks must be open between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Application Process
To apply for a spot at the Food Park, vendors must submit the following:
A completed application (available at clintonms.org/firehousefoodpark).
A menu with pricing and proposed operating hours.
A photo of the food truck.
A copy of their ServSafe certification.
ServSafe Certification: This food safety training program, recognized by the Mississippi State Department of Health, ensures compliance with the Mississippi Food Code, which requires each food establishment to employ a certified food safety manager.
Important Notes for Vendors
Food truck operators currently doing business in Clinton will receive priority consideration for spaces. Once selected, vendors will have 30 days to relocate to the Food Park.
After this transition, food trucks will not be permitted to operate elsewhere in Clinton unless part of an approved special event.
The Firehouse Food Park will serve as a vibrant destination for residents and visitors, offering a variety of dining options while creating a collaborative environment for food truck operators.
