Responsible Stewardship for Community Growth
The Department of Finance and Administration is responsible for all accounting, purchasing, vendor payments, information systems, debt management, human resources, investments, court services and administration functions of the City.

The City of Clinton’s ad valorem tax rate is 41.49 mills. Property taxes are the principal source of General Fund revenues and represent approximately 55% of total revenues. Sales taxes represent approximately 35% of total General Fund income.

The Communications Department handles all of the public information responsibilities for the City. This department oversees the City’s website, social media accounts, marketing materials, tourism initiatives, and handles all outside media requests. From important information during critical events to raising awareness about fun city events, the Communications Department works to keep Clinton’s residents informed.
