Chamber of Commerce Honors Local Heroes at Public Service Luncheon

The annual Chamber of Commerce Public Service Luncheon gathered city leaders and community supporters to celebrate the dedication and outstanding service of local public servants. The luncheon, a highlight of the community calendar, recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in their roles, contributing to the safety, well-being, and development of the city.

This year’s award recipients embody the spirit of public service:

Firefighter of the Year Lieutenant Adrien Dennis was honored for his bravery, exceptional leadership, and unwavering dedication to community safety. Known for his calm under pressure and commitment to training new recruits, Lt. Dennis has been instrumental in both on-the-ground emergency response and behind-the-scenes improvements within the fire department.

Policeman of the Year Detective Amanda Johansson received recognition for her relentless pursuit of justice and compassionate approach to community policing. Detective Johansson’s work has solved critical cases and contributed to neighborhood safety, earning her respect and gratitude from colleagues and citizens alike.

City Employee of the Year Derrick Tucker, an employee of the Public Works Department, was celebrated for his tireless efforts in maintaining city infrastructure.
