The City of Clinton is reminding residents that so called “flushable” wipes should never be flushed down toilets, as they are creating serious and costly problems within the city’s sewer system.
In observance of Memorial Day, City of Clinton offices will be closed Monday, May 25. Offices will reopen Tuesday, May 26, during regular business hours.

The City of Clinton has announced a Special Election scheduled for June 9, 2026, in which registered Clinton residents will vote on the renewal of the 2% Parks and Recreation Tax. The tax was first approved by voters in 2022 and is collected at local restaurants throughout the city, with every dollar dedicated exclusively to parks and recreation facilities and improvements.
