April is National Pickleball Month — and Big Things Are Coming to Kids Towne Park
April 12, 2025
April isn’t just about blooming flowers and warmer weather — it’s also National Pickleball Month! This fast-growing sport has captured the hearts of players of all ages across the country, and here in our community, we’re making room for even more people to get in on the action.
As part of the 2% Parks and Recreation Improvement Projects, Kids Towne Park is officially under construction with a major new addition in the works. The project includes the construction of a new restroom facility, a shaded pavilion, and eight brand-new pickleball courts.
These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing public spaces, supporting healthy activities, and creating gathering spots for families, friends, and neighbors to enjoy. Pickleball’s popularity continues to rise, and these courts will offer a dedicated, modern space for both casual players and local tournaments.
Construction is underway, and we’ll be sharing updates throughout the process. We look forward to seeing Kids Towne Park become an even more vibrant destination for recreation and community connection.
Stay tuned for progress updates — and grab your paddle, because pickleball is coming to town!
