Anna Boyd Hawks, Director of the Olde Towne Depot, has served the Clinton community for the last six years. A 2008 graduate from Pontotoc High School, Anna attended Mississippi College, majoring in Marketing, with minors in Studio Art and Music. She also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from MC.
Anna began working with the City of Clinton in 2013 as part of the Main Street Clinton organization. Focusing on events, beautification projects, and interactive placing to make Olde Towne vibrant and attractive, Anna found a passion for community engagement. In 2018, Anna was named Director of the City’s new facility, the Olde Towne Depot.
The Depot offers unending opportunities for community engagement as an events facility used for meetings by local organizations, private parties, and for community wide events. The Olde Towne Depot also engages the community with displays highlighting Clinton’s history, sharing stories of Charles Caldwell, Sarah Dickey, Louis Turner, and more.
The Olde Towne Depot’s calendar features a variety of events open to the public – a monthly children’s reading, local theatre, and live jazz can be enjoyed regularly at the Depot. A hub for holiday traditions and nostalgia, the Depot also hosts an annual pumpkin patch, Christmas tree farm, Polar Express Pajama Party, and train rides through town on Turner the Train.
