Correction to Voting Misinformation Published in Local Media
In a recent article by a local newspaper, it was stated that “there are no Republican candidates running in Ward 6, so there will be no primary for that ward. . . Usually those in Ward 6 would vote at the Clinton YMCA, but there are no Republican candidates in the primary election so that voting location will not be needed until the general election.”
This information is false. Voters in all 6 Wards will have the opportunity to cast their ballots in the Republican Primary Election on April 6.
All voters, including residents in Ward 1 and Ward 6 will be voting in the upcoming primary election for Alderman-at-Large.
All other Wards will vote for the Alderman candidates for their Ward and the At-Large position. All standard polling locations will remain in use for the primary election on April 6.
