About Keith Perritt

Keith Perritt joined the Board 2017. Keith Perritt moved to Clinton in 2007 for work and for the top ranked public school district. In 2014, Perritt made Clinton his forever home by purchasing a house in the Lakeview Heights community. Clinton has been good to the Perritt family, and Keith wants to give back as the voice of Ward 4. With public safety/service as his background, Perritt knows how to listen and serve.

I look forward to continuing our vision to drive the City of Clinton and its communities forward. A voice for you, committed to keeping Clinton a coveted place to live and raise our families. We're growing, and I believe we can plan and grow in a way that maintains our small town charm while providing the luxuries of a bigger city. We've watched this happen with projects launched in Olde Towne, the upcoming Train Depot project, the newly proposed Towne Springs project, and others around the city. I look forward to continuing initiatives like these that focus on Clinton's history and enrich our hometown atmosphere.

Key Issues

Maintaining current and creating new infrastructure involves a lot of different departments. I look forward to having a great relationship with department leaders and working with them to maintain and create new infrastructure.

Some roads aren't in the best shape. We got some good news recently with the help obtained through MDOT for repair on some of our worst roads. It's still one of the top concerns I hear when talking with you. It's a top priority for the city. City leaders are aware budget is below demand, and are working hard to find solutions.

Neighborhood Preservation

We have to make sure we hold accountable those who don't share our vision to keep Clinton's neighborhoods desirable. Requiring that properties are well kept and structures maintained is essential to keep property values up and Clinton beautiful. I will vote to maintain strict ordinances directed at keeping our neighborhoods clean and desirable.

Public Safety

Fortunately, I had the pleasure of working with some of Clinton's police officers while employed with Mississippi College a few years back. These men and women are great people and truly dedicated to their city. I look forward to working with them again to continue proactive programs that are vital to city security and resident safety.

Crime is an issue in our neighboring city. Sometimes it feels like it's knocking on our door. But, this is a battle we can win. With neighbors working together and communities working with our police department, we can continue to let criminals know that illegal behavior will not be tolerated here in Clinton!

Community Involvement

I believe it’s vital to keep our communities educated on and engaged in what’s happening. This helps residents be more invested when it comes to city endeavors and contributes to the awesome spirit of togetherness in Clinton. There are tons of great programs and organizations to be involved in.

Please contact Alderman Perritt with concerns and ideas that can help us make Clinton an even better place to live.
